  1. INTRODUCTION

Wirewave BV has its registered office at 2340 Beerse, Beemdenstraat 23 and is registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under enterprise number 0647.722.250. We attach great importance to the safe, transparent and confidential collection and processing of your personal data. In particular, we wish to protect the data of our customers, suppliers, among others, against loss, leaks, errors, unauthorised access or unlawful processing. In this privacy statement, we want to give you clear and transparent information on how we handle your personal data. We are committed to ensuring your privacy and therefore handle personal data with care. Wirewave BV adheres in all cases to the applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (also known as GDPR) as of its entry into force on 25 May 2018. We ask that you read this privacy statement carefully, as it contains essential information about how your personal data is processed and for what purpose. By communicating your personal data, you expressly declare to have taken note of this declaration and also expressly agree to it, as well as to the processing itself.

  1. SCOPE

This privacy statement covers all services provided by us and, in general, all activities we carry out. We refer to our website for this purpose: www.wirewave.be.

  1. PERSONAL DATA

According to your activities and your relationship with our company, you will communicate the following personal data to us:

  • your financial data: identification and bank account numbers, amounts you have to pay or have paid, a record of payments, etc;
  • electronic identification data: IP addresses, information collected through cookies (read our cookie policy below);
  • account details: login, password and e-mail address; and

Other: other data which you communicate to us yourself. We kindly remind you that you bear responsibility for all data you provide to us and that we rely on its accuracy. You are not obliged to communicate your personal data, but you understand that the provision of certain services or cooperation becomes impossible if you do not consent to their collection and processing.

  1. PROCESSING PURPOSES
  • Customer details

As part of our services and operations, we collect and process the identity and contact details of our customers, their staff, employees, appointees and other useful contacts. The purposes for these processing operations are:

  • the performance of agreements with our customers,
  • customer management,
  • To comply with legal obligations imposed on us, such as accounting, tax and anti-money laundering obligations;
  • granting access to your profile on our customer portal;
  • for the management of (billing) disputes and claims;
  • for the management and optimisation of our website;
  • to follow up requests and questions made via the contact form on our website and send the requested information;
  • direct marketing activities such as sending newsletter, promotional or commercial information.

 

  • Supplier data

We collect and process the identity and contact details of our suppliers, as well as their staff, employees, appointees and other useful contacts. The purposes for this processing are the performance of the agreement, supplier management, accounting and direct marketing activities such as sending the newsletter, promotional or commercial information. For direct marketing activities by e-mail ( such as a newsletter or invitation to events) there will always be an option to unsubscribe at any time.

  • Staff data

We process our employees' personal data as part of our personnel management and payroll services. Given its specific nature, this processing is regulated more comprehensively in the labour regulations.

  • Other data

Besides the data of customers, suppliers and staff, we also process personal data of others, such as potential new sides/ prospects, useful contacts within our industry, network contacts, expert contacts. The purposes of this processing are in the interest of our operations, direct marketing and public relations.

  1. DURATION OF PROCESSING

Personal data will be kept and processed by us for a period necessary in function of the purposes of the processing and in function of the relationship we have with you. Customer data and supplier data will in any case be deleted from our systems after a period of 10 years after the last use or after the termination of the project or cooperation, except with regard to such personal data that we are required to keep for a longer period on the basis of specific legislation or in case of an ongoing dispute for which the personal data are still necessary.

  1. DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

Certain personal data collected by us may be transferred to and potentially processed by third-party service providers for:

  • providing the internet environment (web hosting)
  • taking care of IT infrastructure (including IT network,...)
  • providing and distributing newsletters and invitations
  • Providing accounting services such as accountant, company auditor

It is possible that one or more of the above-mentioned third parties may be located outside the EU. However, personal data will only be forwarded to third countries with an adequate level of protection. We will of course make the necessary agreements with these parties to ensure the security of your personal data and may only use these data for the purposes for which they were provided. If necessary, your personal data may be passed on to other third parties. This may be the case, for example, if we were to be reorganised in whole or in part, if our activities were to be transferred or if we were to be declared bankrupt. Personal data may also have to be passed on pursuant to a court order or to comply with a particular legal obligation. In such a case, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you in advance of such communication to other third parties. You will acknowledge and understand that in certain circumstances this may not always be technically or commercially feasible or legal restrictions may apply. We take the necessary technical and organisational measures to process your personal data according to an adequate level of security and protect it against destruction, loss, falsification, modification, unauthorised access or notification by mistake to third parties, as well as any other unauthorised processing of this data.

  • We maintain a username and password policy on all our systems.
  • We make backups to restore them in case of incidents.
  • All persons who may learn of your data on behalf of Wirewave BV are bound to secrecy.

Under no circumstances can Wirewave BV be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from an erroneous or unlawful use by a third party of the personal data. More information about our security measures is available upon simple request.

In accordance with and under the terms of Belgian privacy legislation and the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, we inform you that you have the following legal rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Right to rectification (improvement)

  • Right to data portability
  • Right of objection
  • Right to object to direct marketing
